Welcoming 2010

January 4, 2010

The year is 2010…

Life was so fluctuating in 2009 work, proposal, marriage, study, pregnancy, and vacation…

Now it’s 2010, and it’s just started for 4 days. It’s Monday (Jan 4th) and I am writing this blog here at Tuner office.

Waiting for Sulung to be trained and having him an interviewed.

7 days earlier…..

Was at Sriwijaya ready for a trip to Bandung with my wife, Bunda, and Te Ria, and of course Mr Poer..there was no special occasion for the trip..but to have a trip and visit Eyang Muda’s gravie. We were off from Jakarta by 12.00 as I have to deal with my missing debt card at Gramedia GI. Then off to Bandung after picking up Eyang at Jati Indah. The trip took about 3 hours. We arrived at Holiday Inn, Bandung at around 4.00. We have a very luxurious room there with a connecting door. Eyang slept with Bunda and Te Ria in a bigger room while We slept at the smaller one. Bandung a bit rainy that day, but it was Ok, after an hour resting we went to Rumah Mode to buy some baby clothes and continued to The Valley. I would say the place is more like *I suddenly forgot what the in Bogor restaurant called*. With a view of Bandung City from the top. I order Hawaiian Steak, It’s a tenderloin steak served with fruit salad and baked banana with chocolate, a bit weird huh? but not too bad. Finished with dinner we went back to hotel and then sleep. Early the next morning, I had a walk just around  the hotel Area, H. Djuanda and surrounding areas. Was nice and sunny morning, back to hotel room and found my wife still asleep, woke her up and took a bath.

Karine joined us when we’re  having breakfast, after that we went to Eyang Muda’s gravie, then went to Baby clothes store. We visited Bandung’s most popular Batagor resto on Jl. Veteran soon after the baby clothes shopping. then went back home..

it’s Wednesday (Des 30th) we all went to Ancol to have new year’s eve celebration. We rent 4 hotel rooms there. I asked Zahra along with us. The room was not as nice as the one we rent in Bandung. A bit older, but the facilities were Ok, food was so so, but we had a great time there. on Dec 31 we’re having lunch at Bandar Djakarta, at nite we had a gala dinner that was presenting Duo Maia. All that I can enjoy that nite was the fireworks they were awesome!!..

Jan 1st we went home and drop off at Medan Baru Resto on Jl Krekot Bunder, Kota. Food was nice we all had Pala Kakap. then went home!.

there were family event after the Mercure, but on Sunday (Jan 3rd) Pri family had a visit to Tnb family. Then continued to Plaza Indonesia. Nothing really specific there, just shopping. After that we went to Siomay Gondrong behind Bidakara building. then went home and attended my wife’s reception party.

Today is Monday (Jan 4th) everyone is going back to work after a long long holiday, Moi is no exception.

Still sitting here type the words on my blog while waiting Sulung to finish the training..then go back home to meet my lovely wify

Jakarta I am back!!!

December 24, 2009

Haha..a glimpse the title of this posting shows that I am kinda rock star who makes concert visit back to his home town.., but indeed I do a concert for my families back in town haha..”food conert”. Glad that we’re back here (again) even though just for two months and a half. We arrived safely at Soekarno-Hatta International airport around 4.15. Mr Jamal the airport man was ready to pick us up just at the front door of the airport check-out. Then we met Momo, Ibu, and auntie Ria. When we stepped out of the open air, the weather of Jakarta hit us with its identical smell and damp. It was gloomy sky that day 20 Nov 2009.

We arrive at Sriwijaya at 5.30, on our way to Sriwijaya from the airport, my wife and I so excited to see the Jakarta traffic jam haha..it’s been long time not to see the situation..the morning after, we wake up very early and walk the handsome Jojo at the neighbourhood. Ah…can smell the polluted and smelly morning or Jakarta streets, abandoned wastes that can I see along the streets of Sriwijaya Raya..soouuu Jakarta.

Now, It’s been a month and 4 days, its Christmas eve to be exact, and we are both in our room at Sriwijaya. We are selecting photos of our wedding reception. It’s raining outside, give us more excuse to be lazy and do nothing..but still we enjoy this moment so much..

Next plan, after finishing the photo selection, we’ll have nasi goreng rawit just some blocks from our house..it’s god damn spicy and nice…that’s it for now..see you again not so long..

Passing out October

November 11, 2009

Hi…

Hello…

Just skipped the October, still want to share lil bit of the number 10 month though.

So not much but definitely exciting!!, why i skipped the month, coz i’ve been busy completing like every single thing for the bridging class. AW research, ESP research, plunging mark and catching up with TSS, and a thrilling EC presentation..all has held me from writing my blogs damn…, so that’s the frustrating stuffs and the fun one falls on 31 October 2009 where class G was going to Land Pooles Reserved. You’ll have no idea of how heavenly the place is…you should go if you have a chance of visiting Perth. It goes down south from Perth City, takes only 2 hours driving. So basically what we did there was have fun with all class G students and the teachers, Suhaila and Naomi. Having BBQ, and make a Bday Bash party for Suhaila’s, also we gave the teachers some small gifts but meaningful. That’s a bit of bridging story, it has ended after all. All the bridging students finally completed their course with the commencement of our completion yesterday (Tuesday, 10/11). All feels glad, but they sad as well bcause we all will miss class G situation. George “my buddy” got the most improving person award, Aimee also got the award, but i forgot what the award’s was called.

Now November has begun, My wife and I are very happy welcoming the number 11 month this year, because we will go back home to our beloved Indonesia. Even now, when I am typing this posting I just kept thinking of many exciting things I will do there. My wife, she’s even crazier than me, She already listed Indonesian foods that she’d like to eat. Just in the beginning of this month, we even have so many things to be taken care of before we leave this City. You name it, dealing with immigration office, Obstetrician, flight ticket, apartment rent, and still many more…but the promising home-bound plan is just give us so many air to breath..and we cannot wait for the 20 when we stepping up on the Airbus 330 that will bring us home. I also believe that our baby to be felt the same as well rite Aqsa..ok now I am gonna continue downloading movies, talk to you again later..c ya MATE!!

Shige Sushi

September 11, 2009

It is now two weeks that I have been working as a partrimer @Shige Sushi. D name Shige is taken from the chef and the owner of the Shushi restaurant that is located on Mend St South Perth.

I have now can manage to help Shige @ the kitchen as a “Kitchen Hand”, a title for a chef helper. Basically what i do is that washing d dishes, makesure everything is clean and on its places, giving the chef some materials used for cooking. The first time I was there, it’s kinda hard, because Shige is speaking in a Japanlish (Japanese English). He’ll said undenith for underneath, salada for salad, one bow rais for a bowl of rice, and sometimes he said something in an awful ways that only a person that ave worked for 1 year with him will understand.

But now, it is different. I have bow get use to what he is saying. And hopefully will be better in the future. I have a friend from Korea working there, a kitchen hand too. His name is John. I call him crazy John. He works on his way, and I admire that. He always try to make everthing done fast. He thaught me how to do that. The other thing is, he stole foods..haha.. But I don’t think it’s a big deal. He’s just stealing small side foods like potato and leftovers.

Well, so far I enjoy worming there. I learn a lot how to cook, to wash dishes to save water, to keep kitchen clean and many more..as what I have planned. I am aiming to work there for at least 2 months. Until then I’ll find other job just to add my portfolio working in Perth and of course earn money. ;)

The Hectic

September 1, 2009

So now the time’s coming where I should be a good time manager. Study, research, remote work, resto work, pleasure, and the two strips..*sigh*

I am taking it as a lesson to learn as no body here are able or willing to help in either of my descripted job above.

Today I’ll start working at Shige Sushi @6pm. I am excited, but worry as hell as two of my babies should go to campus by themselves driving.

Sept is coming means mothly report. Research essays need to be done on time. Ya Allah please help me manage and work things out. Give us strengths and power to do all those. Protect us from every threats. Most importantly give my wife healthiness…amiien

7th day of fasting

August 26, 2009

Thursday 27 August 2009, 5.38 am. I just finished pray subuh, my wife has gone to her dreamland. We were a bit late for our early breakfast today. Fortunately the time is one hour longer than those in Indonesia. So we still can catch up cooking some foods.

Anyway, couple of days ago Anin and I were going for a show dubbed “Buating Out”. It was held @Octagon Theater, Univ. Of Western Australia (UWA). At first we felt that we were in the wrong room because we could not found audience in our age. Was kinda thought “the hell is this aged-people show”. But then more young people
Were coming the second the event was started.

Talking bout “Busting Out”, the show is about two aged-women playing out with their boops, they make a singing puppet with it, thay make shadows, etc. Over all the event was fun and entertaining although it cost me like AUD44 per person or Rp370 tho.

Anyway, again, last nite my neighbour Andri’s coming to out apartment brought a good news that he is referring me to his boss for a job to replace him who will going back home to J-Town in sept. He works in a japanese restaurant now that pays him AUD15 per hour, which is not bad.

Been asking my wife bout this, and I can tell that she feels excited although she knows that it’ll take my time alot leaving her alone at home. It’s a japanese restaurant after all. Plus I’ll work in the kitchen where I can get important lesson about cooking Japanese food. Next step I need to call the owner Shige San for an interview and make my resume. Wish me luck folks..
